Terms of Service
These terms explain the rules for using KindFinch and purchasing personalised digital cards.
Last updated: 19 July 2026
Company identity
KindFinch Ltd is registered in England and Wales. Company number: 17344448. Registered office: 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom.
KindFinch Ltd is a private limited company with a social mission and is not a registered charity.
1. About these terms
These terms govern use of kindfinch.com and purchases of KindFinch digital cards. A contract for a paid card is formed when payment is accepted and an order confirmation is issued, subject to any lawful cancellation, fraud or availability checks.
2. Our company status
KindFinch Ltd was incorporated in England and Wales on 16 July 2026 under company number 17344448. KindFinch Ltd is a private limited company with a social mission and is not a registered charity.
3. The product
KindFinch Ltd sells personalised digital gratitude and greeting cards. Product descriptions, preview images, available personalisation, primary browser-download delivery method and price are shown before checkout. Minor differences caused by device, display, email client or messaging platform may occur.
4. Purchases are not charitable donations
A payment for a KindFinch card is a purchase of digital content, not a charitable donation. KindFinch is not currently presented as a registered charity. Any planned allocation toward the Kindness Fund is governed by the Impact Policy and does not create a trust, restricted charitable donation, tax deduction, beneficiary right or promise that one purchase will be matched to one named recipient.
5. Prices and payment
Prices and any applicable taxes will be shown before an order is placed. Card details are submitted before checkout and payment is taken through Stripe-hosted checkout. A KindFinch order reference and the checkout email are used to match the personalisation with the payment. We may refuse or cancel an order where payment fails, fraud is suspected, required information is missing or the requested content breaches these terms.
6. Personalisation and buyer responsibility
You are responsible for checking names, email addresses, phone numbers and messages before ordering. You must not submit unlawful, threatening, hateful, discriminatory, defamatory, fraudulent, sexually exploitative, privacy-invasive or intellectual-property-infringing content. We may reject content that creates legal, safety or reputational risk.
7. Delivery
The primary delivery method is an immediate browser download after successful payment. KindFinch also intends to send the purchaser a private, time-limited recovery link by transactional email. If the purchaser actively selects direct recipient delivery and supplies a valid recipient email, KindFinch will also attempt to send the private card link to that address. Email delivery can be delayed or blocked by incorrect addresses, filtering, provider outages, mailbox settings or third-party restrictions, so the on-screen download remains the primary immediate delivery method. The purchaser is responsible for checking recipient details and having permission to use the address for this one-off delivery.
8. Consumer cancellation rights and immediate digital delivery
UK consumer law may provide a 14-day cancellation period for distance contracts. For digital content supplied immediately, checkout will ask for your express consent to begin supply during that period and your acknowledgement that the cancellation right is lost once supply begins. We will not rely on a loss of cancellation rights unless the required consent and acknowledgement have been obtained.
Personalised content may also be treated differently under consumer law. Nothing in these terms removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Faulty or misdescribed digital content
Digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Where a card is faulty, materially different from the confirmed order or not delivered because of our error, we may correct, replace, resend or refund it as required by law and our Refund Policy.
10. Impact model
The current 80/20 allocation is a target, not a guarantee. “Distributable proceeds” means net proceeds after payment-provider fees and applicable transaction taxes; the detailed calculation may also deduct refunds, chargebacks and specified direct transaction costs. Permitted costs, support criteria, reporting and exceptions are set out in the Impact Policy. We may revise the model where necessary, provided changes are communicated clearly and are not misleading.
11. Intellectual property
The KindFinch name, visual identity, website design, card templates, text and original artwork are owned by or licensed to KindFinch. Buying a card gives the buyer and intended recipient a personal, non-exclusive right to view, download and share the delivered card for non-commercial purposes. It does not transfer ownership of the design or permit resale, template extraction or commercial reproduction.
You retain ownership of your original message, but grant KindFinch a limited licence to process, format, reproduce and transmit it solely to fulfil the order, provide support and comply with law.
12. Availability and changes
We may update, suspend or discontinue website features for maintenance, safety, legal or commercial reasons. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the website or checkout.
13. Liability
Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Subject to mandatory consumer rights, KindFinch is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, losses caused by incorrect buyer-supplied information, or business losses arising from consumer use of the service.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Consumers may also benefit from mandatory protections of the country where they live. Courts with mandatory consumer jurisdiction remain available.
